Hello out there!

When the emails asking if I was still alive started filling my inbox, I figured I should check in.

We're fine! Thanks for asking. =)

We're just soaking up our last few days of family time here in Indiana before we head back to the Sunshine State and all the things on the horizon there. Speaking of, there are a LOT of things on the horizon!

We'll be hanging out here until Monday, when we'll begin our trek back to Florida by way of Tennessee again, so that we can take a day to enjoy Chattanooga. Then, right after we get back in town, we have about a zillion doctor, specialist, and therapy appointments to get Seth back in the loop before we head out for our next exciting adventure, which is happening soon after.

In a couple of weeks, Seth and I will be winging our way to California to visit the Advanced Bionics headquarters. Advanced Bionics is the brand of cochlear implant we used for Seth. They are flying us out to participate in a trial for a new product. I'm super excited!

This summer is shaping up to be full of surprises, but I promise, as soon as my current vacation is over, the blog will no longer be neglected. I have been neglecting it for late night chats at Zesto, all day trips to the zoo,  laying around in the morning with my cousins, watching my kids bond with their extended family, and doing a whole lot of what feels like nothing but is really everything...catching up with family and friends. I think it's worth it!

So if you don't hear from me before, I'll be back in action next week. But who knows...I might find time in between snacking on ice cream and critiquing So You Think You Can Dance...who knows!

So, if you come thru Knoxville as you saunter thru Tennessee, let me know and I'll show you to a GREAT place for the kids to play in some awesome fountains. The World's Fair Park has a great fountain display that is very kid-friendly and will serve to wear them out for a nice hour and a half nap, so they'll be rested when you get to Chattanooga! Plus, it makes an awesome place for some cool pictures!

Where in CA is the Advanced Bionics? I will have to search them on the internet, since I have not heard of them! Glad you are well! We love So You Think You Can Dance, too! :)

Make sure you see the Longest walking bridge in the world (walnut street downtown) while you are in Chattanooga. And, it happens to lead to a fabulous park with a hand carved carousel (Coolidge Park) and a large water fountain area for the kids to frolic in :) The kids would have a blast there...and the scenery is beautiful. Enjoy your trek home.

Oh and by the way, I believe the cranberry limeades are a slice of heaven (according to my blog, at least).

When you DO make it out to California, give me a ring (just email me avbernat@gmail.com) and hopefully Matthew and Seth can play together! And of course I can take you around and go shopping! LOL!

Have a safe trip home and ENJOY YOURSELF!
