MIA- I know!

I know, I know. I have not posted for over a DAY! Completely out of character for me. My husband has unexpectedly had a few days off given to him, so we are taken advantage of it by doing all the heavy lifting spring cleaning things I can't do without him.

What was on the schedule for today? Ripping up the carpet my children poured gallons of water on the day I subsequently had to put them up for sale. But before we could do that, their beds had to be diassembled, all toys had to be removed, and we had to clean the room enough to even get to the floor. I won't lie...it was a challenge.

Because I am the person I am, I saw an opportunity to go completely crazy and, even though I have a huge Gala to prepare for on Saturday, I caught myself perusing the OOPS paint at Lowes. I am a complete sucker for OOPS paint. I think my entire house is painted in that paint. What can I say? I love me a $5 can of paint.

Before I knew it, I was a taping maniac, taking the kids room in a whole new direction. Of course, as I went off in that direction while the kids were at school and Seth was napping, John went off to his second job and the kids got home and Seth woke up, leaving  me in the middle of the tornado that is the random debris and detritus that comes along with a  good idea that leaves you single mindedly unaware of the mess you are leaving in your wake.

So, our house is trashed, the kids room is only half done, and they are sleeping on a Dora pull out bed in Seth's room.

Why do I let myself have ideas?

lol my house still has builder white after almost 5 years because I am so afraid that something like this would happen to me! On a positive note, now you HAVE to finish, and won't it be beautiful when you're finished? :)

Cuz those ideas are what makes you SUPERMOM!! Wowza!!! I'm envious, I've been dying to repaint my living room and TV room and stairway (cuz it's been 2 years of crayon and pen markings all over the walls and it's driving me nutso!), in the spirit of spring cleaning and your brilliant ideas I may just do that tomorrow as I await news for Matthew.

What's OOPS Paint???

I love me some oops paint too!! I am about to tackle our entry way...maybe...still a little intimidated about the height. You go girl! It will all get done eventually - just think of all the creativity you are passing down to your kiddos!!

So excited that all of the electrodes are working!!!

I'll have to check out the OOPS paint the next time I'm in Home Depot. We are going to repaint 3 rooms this spring/summer so I's love to find cheap paint.

It'll be worth it once it's all done. :)

Because you're SPONTANEOUS!!!! That's a fabulous thing. =0)

Wish I could get into a cleaning frenzy. My house desperately needs me to 'get there'.

Have a great weekend!

I am new following your blog. My son, Brandon is deaf in one ear, he has what is called Auditory Neuropathy, I think I spelled that correct, LOL anyways, the ear is not getting the message from the brain, is is neurological, therefore he cannot have a hearing aid and surgery won't help. That is awesome your son can hear. So far, so good Brandon has not had any problems due to his hearing loss, but he is only 20 months. I think the real stuggle will be when he is in school.

I am the same way when I have an idea! I am excited and doing it and then all hell breaks loose when everyone comes home at the end of the day! I have 4 kids, (16, 14, 3.5 and 20 months) and I am a stay at home mom.

OOPS paint is awesome! It's always fun to go for something unique! Will there be some pictures of this beautiful "NEW" room once it's finished?!

I know we'd all love to see it! What color did you go with??

Have a great weekend! Hope you get to dig deeper into the project! Are the kids gettin' to paint too? :)

The only room in my house that is painted is Lauren's bedroom. We didn't have time to paint anything when we moved in and the only reason why we painted Lauren's room was because we had to clean it out and get new furniture.
