STOP! I mean, please stop?

This sign is one of my very favorite things. It nicely tells people to back off before I have to snap at them for touching my baby, who just happens to have his airway close right up every time he gets a simple cold. Last winter I loved it because I don't really like people I don't know touching my babies...or kids, for that matter, anyway. and this way I didn't have to be mean. I don't like to be mean. Well, sometimes I do. But then I feel bad, and that's no fun. Sometimes I even feel guilty for being protective of my kids, so this sign is a life saver once again, because it takes care of all of that for me! Even if it doesn't scare people off, it starts a conversation about the right way to touch babies during flu season...or ever. Namely, asking first. You know. that one.

Anyway, because I've had so many people ask me about this sign and want one, I wanted to let you all know you can get one, for free, right here! The company that makes Synagis (an RSV preventative immunization) makes them and sends them out with some preventative measure brochures and such. We got one because Seth received the immunizations last year, and...fingers crossed, will be receiving them this year as well. The entire time Seth was on the Synagis shot last year (it's monthly), he never got a cold or RSV like illness. The month after he went off his Synagis, he ended up in the PICU in Indiana. Coincidence? Maybe. Even probably. But if we can talk insurance into approving it, I will be thrilled. (Sidenote...could you pray for that? They're about $2,500 a shot).

I'm scared going into flu and RSV season this year, and I know a lot of people are. Many of you don't have to worry about RSV as much anymore, since your kids may be older and stronger, but it's still a good idea to be aware and do your due dilligence as you protect your kids.

Anyway, just thought some of you might like to get your own stop sign!
