Someone pat me on the back...I managed to pull it together enough to post on Evany's 7 month birthday!
Well, if I get the post done in the next ten minutes, that is. Let's go!
Someone is 7 months old!
Five months adjusted, of course.
I'll give you a hint...it's this blue eyed bombshell.
Who, for the record, weights 17 pounds, is 27 1/2 inches long, and has a head circumference in the 90th percentile for a five month old (Until she turns one, I think, all her measurements at the pediatrician's office are done based on her gestational age, not her actual age). Her height is off the charts and her weight is in the 85th percentile. I'm not sure how those compare to 7 month old babies, but I have a feeling she's not hanging out in the tenth percentile anymore!
In the past couple of months, Vivi has just grown leaps and bounds. I think she got the memo that a bunch of new babies were going to be born and she needed to be able to boss them around. When she's around Nora, she just kind of stares at her, all "you have got to be kidding me."
She's on her stomach all the time, basically. If I put her down she immediately rolls over onto her belly. She's my first baby to sleep on her stomach, so having the apnea monitor was a lifesaver because I was so nervous. She won't sleep any other way, though.
She's an incredibly happy baby...until she's not. Then she's a screaming banshee. She's the epitomy of the little girl who had a little curl (When she was good she was very very good, but when she was bad she was horrid)...of course, she has no curls. At all. She does have some peach fuzz, though.
She's apparently not received the memo that she's only supposed to be 5 months old, and I keep catching her up on her knees or even her feet, practicing some downward facing dog, yoga style. I leave her on her play mat to do something, then come back and find her in a completely new place, but have yet to see how she makes it from one place to another.
Evany's pediatrician is thrilled with her, and says her muscle tone is so good that she thinks Vivi got Seth's abs and then some. I think she's right!
She's a huge blessing, this baby girl...of course, every baby is, but this one is very special to me! Well, except for the drooling, actually...I could do without that. Vivi has been working very hard at cutting her bottom teeth and so far she's got nothing to show for it but buckets of drool every day. I think she's going to end up dehydrated from all of the saliva she's wasting.
The best part about this month with Evany is that she's figuring out who we all are. She's happy to see me and she cries when I walk away, which is fun, but in all actuality, I'm chopped liver next to her brothers and sister. She is head over heels in love with her siblings, and they make her laugh like nothing else. They're pretty darn entertained by her, too. Check out this short, adorable video to see what I mean!
Happy 7 months, baby girl! I can't believe how fast you're growing! I love you so much it hurts!
