Seth B.

Seth B. is feeling pretty good today. I'm feeling good because Ava and Jace are at school, and as soon as I finish this post Seth and I are going to go take a nap. Naps! Gotta love 'em.

Today was the first day Seth would let me at his ears to photograph his incisions, and I know there are those of you out there who are just dying to see them, so here you go. (They're not gory, so don't worry)

Here's his right ear:
And here's the left:

I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by the incisions. They are RIGHT behind his ear and already starting to disappear...I'm thinking there will be little to no scars at all and even if there are, you literally have to pull his ear forward to see them.

I can definitely feel the implants in his head...the surgeon placed them directly behind and above his ear, which was surprising...most of the implants I've felt are further back on the head. But for Seth, it should work well. With his head being so small, I was worried that the magnets would be on the back of his head instead of the sides, and that's not the case, so yay!

I am very excited about something that I can't wait to post about, but it's going to have to wait until after my nap. I'll tell you this, though....it's about someone other than Seth! I know, you all probably forgot we have any other kids. =)

His incisions look GREAT! Ally's is actually still a little red, but Seth's look amazing! I suppose it helps that he doesn't have much hair getting in the way.

You can barely see them! Looks like he's recovering perfectly!

I couldn't see them until you pulled his ear forward. That's the mark of a great surgeon.

I've had some surgeons not do a good job. It was good at the time, but there's always someone better.
