Bedknobs and Broomsticks

Have you ever moved a piece of furniture...maybe just to sweep behind it, and suddenly become overwhelmed with the possibilities of a slight furniture rearrangement?

Of course, by slight I mean your whole evening is suddenly gone because before you could rearrange the furniture you had to pick up the room, and then move around some random stuff so that you could get an idea of what it would look like without, say, that random tote full of purses that has taken up permanent residence on your bedroom floor? Then you move around some other things, because when in Rome, you know? But when you move said furniture, you just find more things you have to throw away/put away/sort through, and then you're sitting on the floor and reading through a birthday card from 2005 and when you look around, it turns out that you totally succeeded if the theme you were going for in the rearrangement was "post-tornado." But you have to stop, because the light bulb in the ceiling fan is burnt out and no matter what you do you cannot find a light bulb that is the correct size.

Yeah. Me neither.

And because I was thwarted in my rearrangement of the bedroom by nightfall, I keep looking restlessly around the living room, wondering if there's anything here that can be moved around so that I can make a mess and wish I never moved anything in the first place.

So what is it in your household that gets you all distracted? Please tell me I'm not alone!
