Just talking

Man, I am having a great time working my way through the blogs you all posted the other day! Have you been checking out each other's blogs too? It's going to take me a while to get through them all, but I'm getting there. So far, I think you're all pretty darn cool and I'm having lots of fun getting to know you a little better.

Our week started off crazy busy, as usual....although, even the weekends don't stop the action around here. Currently, between school, soccer, and church, we're out of the house by around 8 am seven days a week. I do not find it fun. Seth's nap schedule has also gone out the window now that school has started, and he's stuck catching catnaps in the car when he can. Makes for some fussy late afternoons, let me tell you!

So today I was talking to Ava about school and we realized that when the new baby is in kindergarten, we will have a kind in Kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade, and sixth grade. Intense. Do you know what else that means? That at one point in my life, I will have kids in 12th, 10th, 8th, and 6th grade. That's not going to be a fun time, I don't think, at least not if any of the members of my family are as miserable in middle school as I was or as busy in high school. When we had our kids so close together, I never imagined them spanning six years in school! I always thought they'd all be graduating within a few years of one another. That is crazy.

So are white jeans back in style? I'm watching One Tree Hill and there's a character wearing them. That's terrible. Who looks good in white denim? No one, that's who. While we're on the subject, I also hate skinny jeans. And shoes with super pointy toes.

Not that you actually cared about that, but you know. There it is. Give me some flared dark wash jeans and cute heels any day. I love me some jeans. I don't know if it's from my years managing retail clothing stores or what, but if I can find a good pair of jeans that fit, I'm in love. Can anything make you feel cuter than a pair of well fitting jeans? Not for me, although that's probably because all through high school it was impossible for me to find cute jeans because if they were long enough for my legs they were crazy baggy, and if they actually fit me they were high waters. I couldn't win. So once the styles changed and jeans started fitting me, I went crazy. I have friends who make fun of me all the time because I would almost always rather have another pair of jeans than a cute skirt or shorts, even though I live in Florida. Can't help it!

Now, don't you feel like you know me so much better now that you know all these random facts about me? I am apparently rambling and exhausted, as evidenced by all the random blather here, so I'm going to end this post here. I could use some prayer for tomorrow, if that's ok...nothing bad, but I have may have a cool opportunity coming my way and I would love some prayer for it generally. Thank you in advance!
