This is why I love Mandy Hornbuckle

Yesterday morning, I received this email from my friend Mandy. Then I replied. Then she did. And then it had been an entire day of random, weird emails back and forth. And this, this is why I love her.

Okay, so I have to tell you this before I forget it. Last night I had a dream that I was redoing your blog, then I flew to Florida and you picked me up at the airport, and we had to walk down the highway a little bit to get to your house, and it turned out your house was this big converted cruise ship (and it had a big fancy dining hall like cruise ships do! And a dance studio, for some reason. And when I asked about the dance studio, you just said that it used to be a cruise ship. Which is weird. Because I've never seen a dance studio on a cruise ship.) Also, there was something about a bomb and a fight, but I'm not sure if that was at your "house" or not.

So there you have it.

My reply:

That dream cracks me up. I would love to live on a cruise ship, and any cruise ship of mine would totally have a dance studio, because all those mirrors are awesome. But I would be sad if my cruise ship got bombed.

Her reply:

You would have a super-cool cruise ship!! Did somebody bomb a cruise ship?

My reply:

I don't know! It was your dream! I went on a cruise once where someone jumped off. But that was sad.

Her reply:

Wow!! That's terrible!! Did they survive? Our last one the coast guard
helicopter had to come for somebody.

My reply:

Nope. he scheduled the cruise on purpose and sent out his suicide notes beforehand. Wouldn't that have been weird if he had sent them out then changed his mind? Talk about messing with people's heads. I mean, not that it was good that he died, but you know what I mean.

Her reply:

Wow! That's terrible. I'll tell you, if I was going to commit suicide, I definitely would not choose drowning!!! What a terrible way to die!

My reply:

I know, right? Although if you're old and you jump from the top of a cruise ship you'll probably be dead from the fall. Still freaky though. Although I can't think of any ways to commit suicide that aren't freaky.

Her reply:

Yes. That's true. I guess that's why we shouldn't do it.

So it's agreed. You and I will NOT commit suicide.

My reply:

Word.
