Housekeeping

I've been on pins and needles for the past few days waiting on this packet that is supposed to be coming from the mortgage company. I thought it might come by today, but it hasn't, and man, I want the papers in my hands so I can see that this is a for real thing in black and white. I've checked the mail about twice a day, just to see if anything new has magically appeared.

Yeah, it hadn't, because our mailman only comes once a day, like most mailmen. I'm just impatient.

I didn't realize until we got this opportunity that I had completely given up on staying in our home. This is...beyond anything I ever could have hoped for. I just hope that everything checks out when all the paperwork arrives and that I can come up with the amount I need.

Speaking of, you guys are kind of sneaky! To those of you who have felt led to donate to this first big payment...I am overwhelmed, surprised, and very grateful. My intent in posting was not to try to get donations, it was just to share and ask you all to pray. You all are awesome. I still covet your prayers...I did not know how badly I wanted to stay here with the kids until I was given the chance.

I've gotten several emails asking if I'm doing okay, and I am. While I would never have chosen divorce, it is nice not to be in limbo anymore. I have no idea what's going to happen now, but I know I did everything I could and that's going to have to be enough.

So here's something I was thinking about the other day for those of you who have emailed and asked me what you can do to help out with the whole situation...well, the more people who read this site, the more it helps me financially and it's totally free for you all, so I'd love to hear feedback on what you enjoy most here. At some point I'd like people to be coming here for the writing and not just the drama, so I'd love any input on topics I should cover or things to talk about. I love that I can help provide for my family with this blog and I want to be able to continue to do that, and I'd love your help!

Just a cute Vivi note to to round things out here...she's laying on her (toyless) playmat, bicycling her legs around and around aaand she's been doing it for twenty minutes. She's going to have some major abs going on.
