He never does things by halves

Jace lost his first tooth tonight! And it was the most memorable tooth pulling experience I have ever seen! We're all still laughing about it. Jace is the funniest kid...he's ridiculous. And all four kids were so into the tooth pulling! It was great.



And yes, that's me at 27.5 weeks pregnant. I shudder to think what I will look like come July! But it's all worth it for the adorable baby boy I saw on another ultrasound this week! I think he looks like Seth, but I have no good pictures to share, unfortunately. He's big, though, already measuring a few weeks ahead. Following in his big brothers footsteps. Hopefully he decides to beat them when it comes to gestational age at birth, though!

Now I'm off to study some Statistics. Super fun, let me tell you!

Happy Birthday to Seth's Ears!

I know we just celebrated this a month ago, but that was the two year anniversary of Seth's cochlear implant surgery. Today is the two year anniversary of the day he was activated, the day he heard for the first time.

I like today.

For those who weren't reading at the time or who just want to remember what it was like on that day, here is the video if Seth hearing my voice for the first time. Best 37 seconds ever. Haha!



This is a video of Seth watching the above video this morning. What a difference two years makes! And yes, he has terrible bed head! (It might still be processing, but it should be up soon!) It's nothing too exciting, but the fact that he's here and hearing is pretty exciting to me!



Seth happened to have a booth testing yesterday for his upcoming IEP for school next year. It was perfect timing for his two year hearing birthday, and we got great results...Seth 's hearing with his cochlear implants is, in a word, perfect! He falls within normal hearing limits in all frequencies. This is so cool and not always typical for kids with cochlear implants, so we're thrilled.

He's amazing. His implants are amazing. It's a great day here at our house!

Deep, insightful conversation

So it's been a while since I've posted pictures of the kids...

And I don't have any today. I know, total tease. It's mostly because I left my camera next door and I'm too lazy to go get it.

But what you can have instead is a look right inside our living room at the conversations I 
have with the kids every day. They're pretty funny! In this conversation I learned who both my kids planned to marry and what Ava REALLY thinks about boys.

Apparently a camera makes my kids talk like babies, so...sorry about that. Also sorry about me looking pretty terrible today. it rained all day and I couldn't be bothered to do anything about my hair or face.
