But I kind of like this one, too. Evany had already taken off at this point.
Today we were driving to a doctor's appointment and Ava and Jace were talking about their first words. Ava asked what her first word was, and I told her it was "Cottage Cheese" (True Story). Jace asked what his first word was, and I told him it was "Dog" (and I'm relatively sure that's correct). They talked about that for a few minutes, then Ava yelled up to the front.
"Hey Mom? What was my first phrase?"
Her first phrase? This kid, seriously. I told her she should check her baby book, because I couldn't remember that far back anymore. Her response?
"Really, Mom? This is something you should remember. I mean, you just had me around at the time, not all these other kids."
This is also the girl that says she's only having one or possibly two kids. When I asked her why, she said "Who wants this kind of hassle?"
Jace, on the other hand, wants at least ten kids. His poor wife.
I'll take this hassle any day. It's a great hassle to have.
